Face Data Summary
Typiora lets users upload chat screenshots and selected chat text so AI can analyze conversation context and generate suggested replies. Uploaded screenshots may contain facial information, such as profile photos or other visible faces. Face data collection, use, disclosure, sharing, storage, and retention are explained in Section 2.3 Face Data, with additional details in Section 4 Data Sharing and Disclosure, Section 6 Data Retention, Section 7 Data Security, and Section 8 Your Choices and Rights.
Typiora ("Typiora", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use the Typiora mobile application, Typiora Keyboard extension, and related services.
Typiora is an AI chat assistant and iOS keyboard tool. It can analyze chat screenshots or selected text and generate suggested replies, translations, conversation analysis, and related AI-powered writing assistance.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 User Content
When you request AI features, Typiora may collect and process the content you choose to provide, including chat screenshots, selected chat text, prompts, style or goal selections, language selections, and generated AI replies.
Uploaded screenshots may contain messages, usernames, profile photos, faces, or other information visible in the screenshot. You should avoid submitting passwords, payment details, government identifiers, medical information, or other highly sensitive information.
1.2 Keyboard Extension Content
The Typiora Keyboard extension can send the text you choose to analyze to Typiora services only when you actively request AI replies or related AI assistance. iOS may require "Full Access" for the keyboard extension to make network requests. Typiora does not use the keyboard extension to collect everything you type across other apps.
1.3 Account, Subscription, and Credit Information
Typiora may create or use an anonymous account identifier to keep your subscription status, purchase verification records, remaining credits or tokens, product eligibility, and related account state accurate across sessions.
1.4 Purchase Information
If you purchase subscriptions or token packages, payments are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive and process purchase verification data such as transaction identifiers, signed transaction information, subscription status, expiration status, product identifiers, and related verification records. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
1.5 Device, App, and Log Information
We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, anonymous device or vendor identifiers, request timestamps, feature usage metadata, error messages, and security or diagnostic logs. This information helps us operate, secure, debug, and improve Typiora.
1.6 Feedback Information
When you submit feedback, we may collect your anonymous account ID, app version, feedback category, message content, and submission time so we can investigate issues related to screenshot analysis, AI replies, credits, subscriptions, and keyboard behavior.
1.7 Advertising Identifier and App Tracking Transparency
With your permission through Apple's AppTrackingTransparency framework, Typiora may access the device advertising identifier (IDFA) for advertising attribution, ad performance measurement, and improving advertising relevance. You may allow or deny tracking when the iOS permission prompt is shown and may change your choice in iOS Settings.
2. AI Processing and Face Data
2.1 AI Chat and Reply Generation
Typiora uses AI technology to analyze user-provided chat context and generate suggested replies, translations, conversation analysis, and writing assistance. AI features are initiated by the user, such as by uploading a screenshot, selecting text in the keyboard workflow, choosing a goal or style, or tapping a generate action.
Generated replies are suggestions only. You decide whether to use, edit, send, or discard any generated output.
2.2 Third-Party AI Service Provider
Typiora uses OpenAI as a third-party AI service provider for AI generation features. When you request AI assistance, the content needed to complete that request may be sent to OpenAI, including chat screenshots or image URLs, selected chat text, prompts, conversation goals, style selections, language selections, and related request metadata.
We send this information to OpenAI only to provide the AI feature you request, to maintain service reliability and safety, and to prevent misuse. We do not sell your user content to OpenAI or to other third parties.
By choosing to upload a screenshot, submit selected text, or request AI generation, you give permission for Typiora to process that content and, when necessary, transmit it to OpenAI for the requested AI feature. We require our service providers to protect personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

When required to deliver an AI feature you request, screenshots that may contain faces may be processed by our own servers and may be transmitted to OpenAI as our AI service provider. We do not disclose or share face data with any other third party for independent use.
- Storage: Face data, as part of uploaded screenshots, may be stored temporarily on our own servers or backend infrastructure when necessary for upload handling, request processing, and returning the requested result. It is not stored as a biometric template.
- Retention: Face data is processed temporarily. Uploaded screenshots and image content that may contain facial information are automatically deleted from our servers within 7 days after processing completion. You may request deletion at any time as described in Section 8, and we will process deletion requests within 30 days.
